Welcome to Travels-With-Cindy.com! I’m Cindy, an active senior, novelist, and avid traveler. I’ve traveled to Europe, the Caribbean and throughout the United States since the 1980’s. I’ve jumped on moving trains, climbed a ladder between two moving ships, and traveled to the Arctic in the middle of winter. In this blog, I share my many decades of experience to encourage other senior women to go out and enjoy the many pleasures of traveling and exploring other cultures.
After my husband died of cancer in 2020, I was “too scared” to travel internationally by myself. Finally, I took the plunge and signed up for a “solo” tour of Portugal and had the time of my life. During this first international trip by myself, I stuck like glue to my tour group and didn’t venture off by myself. Now, I gleefully hop on jets, enjoy train trips completely alone, and wander the streets of Paris, Madrid, Nice, and Seville…along with gorgeous little villages I’d previously never heard of.
